Once upon a time, there was a small family in a small village, near Toba Lake. The family were a farmer, his wife, and his beautiful daughter. His daughter was named Seruni.
One day, Seruni had to work lonely because her parent were busy. Seruni was just accompanied by her dog, Toki. After she worked, she sat on a rock. Toki lied beside her. Seruni was sad because her father made her marry with someone, and Seruni did not want to disappoint her father. But Seruni had had a boyfriend, and she loved him very much. She was very confused. Then, she walked to Toba Lake to kill herself because she was too stressed. But, on the way, there was a hole, and she fell down into the hole. She wanted to cry, but she thought she was better to die. Toki knew it and went home. Seruni's father knew that something bad happened to his daughter. He and his neighbor went to the site. He threw a rope to help his daughter. But she did not want to grab the rope. And the hole was almost closed. Seruni's father wanted to jump into the hole, but his neighbor stopped him. He was very sad. The hole was closed. He thought that his daughter had died.
Suddenly, there was an earthquake. And on the site, a stone like Seruni was appeared, and people called it Batu Gantung.
